I attended the Scribe Awards panels yesterday, held by the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers. Co-founder Max Allan Collins was the moderator, and presented the Faust Award, for lifetime achievement in tie-in writing, to Peter David. Nominees Nancy Holder and Nathan Long joined the panel, and conveniently (since they and Max were the only nominees present), both won in their categories.
The awards went to:
WARHAMMER: BLOODBORN: ULRIKA THE VAMPIRE by Nathan Long (Best original novel, speculative fiction)
SAVING GRACE: TOUGH LOVE by Nancy Holder (Best original novel, general fiction)
THE WOLFMAN by Jonathan Maberry (Best adaptation)
DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: ALDWYNS ACADEMY by Nathan Meyer (Best young adult novel)
Congrats to all!
